Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)
A full set of instructional materials created in collaboration with Iowa State University researchers, Dr. Adina Howe and Dr. Michelle Soupir. Students investigate the development of drug-resistance microbes during two unique hands-on investigations. Materials are focused on helping students use the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) Science and Engineering Practices to make sense of various phenomena.
Approximately 6-7 days, but they need not be consecutive
Learn how Dr. Howe and her lab use the NGSS Crosscutting Concepts in their research in our Authentic Science magazine.
Innovative Practices workshops featuring the Woodchip Bioreactor instructional materials are offered through the BOEC.
Previous workshop participants may request free lab supplies.
