Lab supplies

Offering free laboratory supplies and instructional materials

The Biotechnology Outreach Education Center offers free laboratory supplies and instructional materials for several laboratory investigations. In order to request these supplies, teachers must have successfully completed a corresponding Biotechnology Outreach and Education Center (BOEC) workshop.

The supplies are typically delivered to Iowa educators by parcel service (FedEx) or mail, postage paid. A return label will also be included when teachers are expected to return some or all of the supplies to the BOEC after using them.  Please carefully review all documentation that comes with the supplies or equipment to ensure appropriate use and return of the items.

We are currently shipping out requested supplies on Mondays each week.  We ask that requests be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to needing them in your classroom to allow adequate preparation, packaging, and shipping time.
