The Office of Biotechnology supports educators and future teachers through Research Experiences for Teachers (RET) and Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU). These programs connect classrooms with real science, while creating resources that reflect authentic research practices.

Iowa State University’s Biotechnology Outreach Education Center (BOEC) is proud to provide the following resources for use in K-12 STEM classrooms. The BOEC encourages teachers to use these resources thoughtfully. Each has been carefully designed to support the implementation of Iowa science standards (NGSS) and is best used with the professional learning resources provided. Our goal is to support you, the educator, when implementing activities in your classroom and ensuring the best possible experience for you and your students.
