The Office of Biotechnology values the relationships it has with educators across the state of Iowa and beyond. We offer a variety of resources, professional learning experiences, and on campus partnerships to support successful and skillful implementation of Iowa’s science standards.
Supported by the Office of Biotechnology, the Biotechnology Outreach Education Center (BOEC) is able to provide K-12 educators with classroom resources and professional development throughout the school year. How can we help?
Iowa State University’s Biotechnology Outreach Education Center (BOEC) is proud to provide the following resources for use in K-12 STEM classrooms. The BOEC encourages teachers to use these resources thoughtfully. Each has been carefully designed to support the implementation of Iowa science standards (NGSS) and is best used with the professional learning resources provided. We encourage you to reach out to BOEC staff about using these materials or sign up for professional development before using them. Our goal is to support you, the educator, when implementing activities in your classroom and ensuring the best possible experience for you and your students.
