PCR Fun Day – December

These on-campus workshops leverage Iowa's science education standards and the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) to help grow teacher expertise through an interactive and informative one-day experience.  After successful participation in the workshop, teachers can request the equipment and consumable supplies necessary to complete a PCR Investigation with their own students through the BOEC supply lending program.

Innovative Practices Workshop: Woodchip Bioreactors (grades 3-5)

Our workshop will provide educators with the opportunity to experience a high-quality curriculum designed around an ISU researcher’s body of work.  Our Antimicrobial Resistance in Agriculture curriculum materials have been carefully designed for the 6-12 grade science classroom, adhering to the Next Generation Science Standards and best practices aligned with the New Vision for Science Education and the K-12 Framework for Science Education.
